Slow and Steady As She Grows!

DSC_0571

A little after a month since planting, the mesmerizing performance of my Arisaema candidissimum bulb holds me utterly and completely in its thrall! You can detect the dazzling pink of the spathe as it emerges from its sheath. I am holding my breath in anticipation of its complete unveiling! You can detect [if you look closely enough] a secondary pink tip peeking out of the soil to the upper left of the main growth.

One day soon I will have enough of these charming beauties to be able to do some divisions. I think they would look charming as a container planting! Adding a new one simply guarantees they will keep me smiling for years to come. [Hopefully, fingers crossed!]

I believe I saw Joe Eck and Wayne Winterrowd use Arisaema candidissimum in a container outdoors at North Hill to great effect. I think it sounds like a great idea. Nice photographs!
