Never mind that you’re asking me to choose a personal favourite amongst my recent new adoptees – for you Joy, anything!
It didn’t take near as long a I thought it would. I had only to look back to the 2012 Rock Garden and Hardy Plant Sale to be able to pick my favourite new plant for the first half of the 2012 gardening season! His name? Polygonatum x hybridum ‘Betberg.’ For a more detailed post on how this magnificent plant came to reside in my garden, and the generous plantsman who gifted it to me, read more here. I am in love with your Betberg TOO! .. You are going to tell me which mail order nursery has it for next year (I wouldn't torture such a beauty trying to establish it now .. ugh ! I have to get out and water but I wanted to stop by and say thanks !)
I love it's dramatic colour and those tiny bells of flowers must be amazing to see against that dark foliage .. so YES ! I am a total fan of this amazingly gorgeous beauty !

I have bought so few plants this year, I don't have a favorite. I can definitely see how your Polygonatum made the cut. Gorgeous.
